1968
Tat Seng Packaging Group Ltd (“Tat Seng”) was first known as "Tat Seng Paper Box Maker", a sole proprietor.
1973
Relocated to a 19,000 square feet terrace factory located in Kallang Way and was renamed as “Tat Seng Paper Box and Carton Factory”.
1977
Incorporated as a private limited company, "Tat Seng Paper Containers Pte Ltd."
1979
Due to the roaring success, Tat Seng moved to current premises at Senoko in Woodlands East Industrial Estate, which boasts a land area of approximately 20,000 squaremetres.
1989
Deservedly awarded the SISIR Certificate of Good Manufacturing Practice ("GMP") Award for the ISO 9003 certification for quality assurance through final inspection and testing of products.
1990
Obtained the ISO 9002 certification for the achievement of quality assurance through in-process control.
1993
In yet another effort to keep our company relevant, Tat Seng computerised its design capabilities and provide a comprehensive range of computer-aided functional structural and graphic design services to customers.
1994
Obtained the SISIR certification under the Ozone Depleting Substance ("ODS") Free Process Verification Scheme, as a commitment to environment protection.
1995
Implemented in-house developed Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) system which links up the work of all major departments thus providing accurate, timely and efficient information to the management.
1997
Tat Seng then expanded its reach beyond the Singapore seas, as Tat Seng Packaging (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. in Jiangsu Province, China began operations.
2000
Tat Seng Packaging (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. obtained the ISO 9001 certification for quality assurance through final inspection and testing of products.
2001
Listed on the mainboard of SGX-ST, and converted to a public company.
2002
Converted the ISO 9002 certification to ISO 9001, Quality Management System.
2003
In order to ensure Tat Seng Packaging (Suzhou) Co., Ltd continues to produce high quality products, we purchased world class equipment from Japan and begin expansion of our factory.
2004
Obtained the ISO 14001 Standard for Environment Management System.
2005
Hanwell Holdings Limited (previously known as PSC Corporation Ltd) became the major shareholder of Tat Seng.
Tat Seng became one of the largest manufacturers of corrugated packaging product in Eastern China after successfully completing the machine upgrade and factory expansion in the Suzhou plant.
2006
Acquired a new subsidiary, an 80% equity stake in Hefei Dansun Packaging Co., Ltd. in Hefei, Anhui Province, China.
2007
Sales and leaseback of the factory building at Senoko Drive, Singapore.
2008
Set up a wholly owned subsidiary, United Packaging Industries Pte. Ltd., to acquire corrugated packaging business from a rival packaging company in Singapore.
2009
Acquired a new subsidiary, an 70% equity interest in Nantong Hengcheng Paper Industry Co., Ltd. in Nantong Rugao, Jiangsu Province, China.
2010
Acquired further 14.4% in Hefei Dansun Packaging Co., Ltd., increase Tat Seng’s total equity interest to 94.4%.
2011
Nantong Tat Seng Packaging Co., Ltd. in Nantong Tongzhou, Jiangsu Province, China began operations. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nantong Hengcheng Paper Industry Co., Ltd.
2012
Set up a 67% owned Sino-Foreign joint venture company, Tianjin Dansun Packaging Co., Ltd. in Tianjin, China.
2013
Tianjin Dansun Packaging Co., Ltd. began operations.
2014
The Test Center of Tat Seng Packaging Group Ltd (Tat Seng Test Center) was established in Suzhou plant, and has been accredited by International Safe Transit Association (“ISTA”).
2015
The "China - Singapore International Packaging Technology Cooperation and Exchange" Day was successfully held in Suzhou Lakeside Hotel on 13 November 2015.
